NC21 carb slides

Hi all,

So, after taking my NC21 carbs to bits, I've got a set of the dish end carb slides with twin air holes in.

My question is this, I'm now running a Yamamoto half system, are there really any benefits to be had on a road bike switching the slides across, bearing in mind she's currently running 115/118's with 2.5mm drilled slide holes, and a single 1mm washer on the needles.

I've had info from a member here that the Yamamoto systems were originally designed to run with the stock jetting setup on R3L and on machines, so I want to actually get out on her before making any major changes.

If the benefits are only really for race kit, then I may have a set of carb slides available :)

Pretty much no benefit at all.

The rounded bottom slides will offer a slight improvement in airflow at full wide open throttle due to the curved shape (this is only theory, but seems to stand to reason)

On flat out race bikes might be useful, esepcially with all the other HRC kit but I wouldnt bother for road bike.

Spot on - thanks Neo, that's exactly what I needed.

I can reassemble the '21 carbs and sell them now :)
