Really we're going to make some articles in our local magazin about CBR 400 RR performance tuning, but the model is not too popular here due to year and quantity.

That all what I know, but have no info, so - if you leave here a link, copy of article, picture or maybe you idea. I'll be really appreciate if you share it. Any ideas about possible from race tank cap till big bore kit.

Frame:
1. Rear Sets

Tyres
1. No idea what can be dome with tyres, except bough best ones
2. Maybe change rear from 150 to 160.
3. Paining wheel disks

Brake
- Waved brake discs
- Brembo/other master cylinders and calipers
- Steel Braided Brake Lines
- Rear Brake Pads. Which ?

Light
- HID

Engine
1. Crankcase breather
2. Big bore kit
3. HRC AIR box/Jet niddles

What other thinks ? If you leave any picture, link or explanation - I'll be really appeciate.

Light- HID
i had my HID kit fitted by auto electricians so i cant tell you how to do it.
i CAN tell you the main problem is finding a out of sight location to put the ballasts! it is NOT advisable to cut/join the wiring between the ballast and bulb connector.. why? there is 23,000 Volts running between them! do NOT create a weakness that can short out by cutting the wire! so hiding the ballasts under the pillion seat doesn't work!

i also have a how to convert the NC29 headlights to accept a normal H4 bulb. see the link for instructions.

de-restrict mods for street or race/track bikes.
i also have the DIY how to de-112mph-limit your NC23-29, easy plug n play kits available from Graeme France, Rick Oliver, David simon and myself.

let us know when this article is out.. in English?

why dont you have a look at the HRC set up manual?

the stock needles are good ( at least over here at sea level they are)
the engine is great stock, porting RVF400 pistons and proper jetting are all easy and cheap (ish) mods. Getting the cams degreed is good too.

if you're ina hot area, put on a bigger radiator. I use one from a CBR600F4/ F4i on mine. You'll have to make the mounts, but its simple enough.

If you've got a late model front end, you're in good shape. The older damper rod units suck.
A CBR900rr front end (use the 1993-95 triples) is and easy bolt on and give fully adjustable forks along with the ability to run good calipers. The stock front wheel can be used as well. I can usually get a set forks, calipers and triples here for under $300 (USD) shipped to my door.

The stock shock sucks. A CBR600F2 is the same unit, so find a penske, ohlins or what ever for the cbr model and run that. A CBR600F3 will bolt on as well, but its not quite the same...

A clutch cable from a late model (2002-2005) Honda XR100 (dirt bike) works real good if you have trouble getting a stock cable. You will have to file the threaded adjuster on the bottom end a bit to fit it in the holder, but it's easy to do.

The rear sprockets bolt pattern is the same as cbr600f2/f3, but the center hole must be enlarged a bit to fit.

Supposedly the 2004 ish cbr600rr rear sets will fit the nc-29. I havent tried this, but a friend swears that what she's got on hers (racer type).
