hi there
i'm having issues with a noise from what i think is my rear suspension. when i sit on the bike or the rear wheel is moved in relation to the seat (ie going over bumps) there is a creaking noise from the chassis. i'm at a loss as to what it could be. my initial thoughts are the shock?
i have sprayed everything i could get at with WD40 - all the bushes, hinges, pivots and still no better. could it be swing arm related? any possible cures?
many thanks in advance

I would be inclined to think it's the linkage on your rear shock/swingarm. It'd be worth taking the linkage out, dismantling it and having a good look at it. I rebuilt the linkage on my 71F (although I'm not sure how similar it is the the linkage on the 76) A new main needle roller bearing from Bearing Man cost the grand total of £4.65p. You could probably replace all the bearings in the linkage for under £30. New bearings and well packed with proper lithium moly bearing grease should sort it out.
