i am having problems with my clutch.
it appears to be stuck and the bike will run freely even if a gear is selected.
i have tried bleeding the clutch, and it does seem to work the piston.
the pushrod is free and will come out.
any help or iseas will be gratefully recieved.
cheers

So you have no drive at all? How long has the bike been standing? It's very unusual for a clutch to completely seize like that unless it's been open to the elements for a long time. Are you entirely sure you are selecting gear properly?

i can go through the gears and they feel very smooth as usual. i have just been out again and i can hear a very faint sort of squelching sound when i pull the clutch lever. could it be as simple as air in the line but bleeding wont work because the seal has gone?
when i had the push rod cover off and looked at the piston it would slowly push out could this be from comressed air in the system?

So you either have a slipping clutch (knackered clutch) or a sticking piston on the hydraluic clutch, keeping the clutch somewhat engaged.
How and when did it start?
Heres a quick test.
If you can jack the rear of the bike up and keep it stable (I put a trolly jack under the collectobox) just to raise the rear off the ground a little.
remove the sprokcet cover (and the clutch slave cylinder with it), start the bike up and engage second gear (obviosuly without using the clutch), it might crunch a little but if you have drive to the back wheeel and it spins up faster as you rev the bike then apply the back brake..
If you can stall the bike then the clutch seems ok and I suspect your cylinder is sticking!
this isnt usually caused by trapped air but by shit in it.
it will come apart easily if you remove the sprocket cover, just pull the inside out and clean all the shit off it.
If your bikes wheel isnt turning with the sprocket cover off then i suspect you have a knackered clutch and need to buy new plates
