GSX 400 Impulse Fuel Tap
Hi Guys,
Not sure if my Impulse goes in here or the Bandit area?
I need a replacement or service kit for the fuel tap for my 97 plate GSX400 Impulse. Some bits seem to fit from bandits, others don't. Does anyone have experience with this breed? This is the only thing stopping her being reliable, slow leak of petrol and causing fuel starvation (carbs run dry) after more than a few minutes at motorway speeds.
Image included if it helps to narrow it down.

Any help gratefully received (other than torch it).
Cheers

Re: GSX 400 Impulse Fuel Tap
Hi,
If its the same tap as the Bandit4 then its not serviceable.
You cannot split the tap to replace the diaphram.
Post a picture of the tap if possible.
Suzi share a lot of parts so you may find another model tap will fit, advice would be to take it to the local breakers and see if they can match it up.
If you are suffering starvation first thing to check is that the filler cap breather is working.

Thanks for the advice. It may be that I have two issues, god knows I have had enough of them with this bike! None have proper money to fix but they took time to fix.
