fairings off - what to do?

got bored this morning, went into the garage & took the rear, side & lower fairings off the bike. I want to give them a really good cleaning on the inside. I then took the exhaust off to re-paint it as I noticed a bit of surface rust starting to appear. I also discovered there's no gasket between the pipe & the end-can so will sort that. Whilst I've got the bike naked, what other jobs do I need to be doing? Thinking about cleaning the engine (although it's not really that dirty, more for the sake of it).

Oil and filter, change coolant, check valves, etc...
