3tj shock fit 3en3?

my shock is starting to leak, will the shock from a 3tj fit my 3en2?
No, the 3tj shock is too long
Use a R6 shock and dog bones from Kayla, its a better shock and newer too

Find a 3he fzr600 shock it should bolt straight in but its unlikely to be much better than the original

You can get R6 shocks cheap.

One thing though - you've listed your bike as a 3en3 .... is it 3en 1 or 2 ?
The 3en1 has a braced swingarm which won't work with these shocks (the bracing touches it.

Boris;Bubba has a 3EN2.
Bubba; You need a 06/07 shock of the type Boris has linked to.
Take notice of the forked bottom mount and the reservoir style,these are the differences between the other units available..
Some of these type have a black or yellow spring which are slightly different spring rates(p.o's have fitted alternative springs (Yamaha part).The bodies are the same length and intrinsically identical.
Also some shocks have the high and low speed compression adjustment as two seperate "dials" rather than an inner and outer type.
You need to remove a little material from the r/h lower part of the battery box support on the frame, (small wedge on corner) and round out the shock fork outer to clear the rocker to prevent binding.Two 5mm wide spacers are required on top mount as R6 mount is not as wide as std. shock.
138mm centre dogbones return ride height back to std, as the R6 shock is slightly shorter than original.
It is a recommended conversion and should only take a couple of hours.
I would recommend making a small rubber "mudflap" to protect the reservoir from road spray if the original is missing from the very front of the plastic mudguard/undertray.
