Re: Oulton 15th Feb
Very keen on the idea, was gonna book with Nolimits on the 23rd but this one might be a wee bit quieter so may be a better idea as Nolimits last year on the 18th was rammed. Not ridden any bike really since getting injured in May, apart from a couple 15min sessions on my mx'er just to make sure i can change gear still!!

Re: Oulton 15th Feb
yep 102, the CRM failed however he "passed it" after i said it was unfair to rev it to 8500rpm when the rev limiter was 7900 on a single.
he suggested i revved to to where i thought was normal so he had 5k lol
apparently it was pretty loud on pit wall when it passed hmmmm.

I passed with 89 on my nc30 running my full micron system that was with a freshly repacked can with stainless Steel wool wrapped around the perforated core and with the baffle in, it'd have easily have passed without the baffle but as I'd paid for it I left it in to get some use outta it!! Haha

Re: Oulton 15th Feb
I am not sure i would pass at 102dB i am lucky to get 102 with the baffle in and around 107 without.
Are the testers strict with the limit of 102 or coudl it get through at say 103?
I know it's like asking how long is a piece of string, but dont fancy a 450mile round trip for a noise test.

Pretty strict in fairness tho you could always wrap the baffle with S/S wool specially for noise testing, this reduces the dB quite a bit, can't say I've ever tried it though just heard of others that have done it to good effect

Re: Oulton 15th Feb
Yer i have tried to use end can wadding/matting around the baffle and the bike was a nightmare to start and keep running (cos of the ramair). I think i may get a cheap nc30 with standard can and filter setup for tracks like Oulton/donny.

Has anyone tried one of the "Trackday Taster" sessions?
