Hi everyone,

I have only just joined after being recommended here from another forum. I have a GK76a with some wiring issues and today i pulled the loom out of the bike and have been following it all through with the help of the Japanese wiring diagram.

I then decided to tidy the diagram up a bit and translate / work out what i could from it and remove all of the Japanese writing to make it a bit clearer for us Brits

There are a few components i am struggling to get my head around though, so if any of you GSXR wiring gurus could help me out i can email over my current diagram for you to look over (i cant upload it here as it is 24mb)

Here is a smaller pic though ofwhat it currently looks like, hopefulyy when it is all complete it may be of some use for peoples future projects bighug

Which components are you struggling with? If you email me the full size one and I'll get it hosted and on here much better size/quality and have a look at what you have.

Thanks Alex,

I will email you now with the diagram. I will attach two copies (one with the unsure components circled and one as normal).

For now, here is a higher quality and smaller file size to work with (less than 1mb), now I sleep.

I can take a copy of the original to one of the shops and ask them what they are if you guys would like? They may or may not be open on new years eve but Ill get back with an answer hopefully.

Do you have the components mapped out on your existing harness?

No unfortunately it seems quite a few of the components are missing from my project bike, which makes it all a bit harder :(

Most of those components go into small modules by the loom which i have, so knowing what they are it purely for interest at the moment and to help with the diagram. Here are the spare connectors i have on my loom after plugging everything back in today. If anybody could have a look on their bikes and tell me what they are plugged into that would be great.

My bike is about a 30 minute drive away at the moment, and I wont be able to get to it till tomorrow, but I have seen that green wired connector before. The sheath on the wire is some sort of vinyl/plastic covering right? Possibly the kickstand switch? Or thereabouts?

The orange and red connector seems important in that it has that yellow rubber inside the connector. Usually something important that needs the extra protection from water.

Sorry Im not much help at the moment but Ill have a look tomorrow and get back to you, as well as get the bits on the diagram sorted out hopefully.

Thanks thats a great help. And yes a kickstand switch sounds plausible, because my bike currently doesn't have a kickstand and that might be holding of the signal for the starter

I will try and earth it out when i get back tomorrow and see if it makes a difference ;)

Looking at kickstands on eBay and that is definately it

Kick stand and switch ordered up so that is one unknown connector taken care of!

Thanks again
