Hey guys, first time on here, so. I'm Connor, 19 and from Scotland. i own a nc30 and here is how it stands atm.



Anyway. i was tightening the exhaust down pipes onto the rear manifold and the stud on the manifold snapped. So i am going to replace the manifold ( it has seen better days anyway ) I read that you can get access by removing swing arm, i dont want to drop the engine out if i dont need to. So my main question is, What general tools do i need to remove rear wheel and swing arm? i.e. size of sockets, any castle shaped sockets? Any help would be appreciated and nice to meet you all!

36mm for rear wheel and you can get the castellated tool from ebay. Removing the manifold can be done with the swinging arm in place but it's tricky getting to the nuts on the exhaust ports . Unbolting the subframe might help a 1/4 drive socket set with flexible adapter is what most guys on here use. Would give the nuts a good douse f penetrating oil and take your time as they can easily snap.

I removed mine without taking the swinger off.

Removed the front sprocket cover too as that helps..and also loosened off the subframe to get access. As already said - flexy adapters help a lot - as do 6 sided sockets, instead of 12 pointed.

As Mark says, get a 6 point socket (walldrive are epic) and a knuckle/flexible adapter.
