Shouldn't see why not.
I have an HRC TT-F1 RC30 shock on my NC30, along with the RC30 linkage and it fits fine.
The top of the shock does need to be shimmed a little but its not the end of the world.

Neo, how does the RC linkage differ to the NC one? i take it the mounting points are the same but what about the dog bone length and arrangement of the tri link.

For that money you can get one build specific to your specs and demand. So why all the hassle?

Dog bone is longer and the link that is fixed on the NC30 linkage is movable.Drunkn Munky wrote:Neo, how does the RC linkage differ to the NC one? i take it the mounting points are the same but what about the dog bone length and arrangement of the tri link.

Heres an image of the RC30 linkage.
I don't think the linkage is essential to use an RC30 shock but the guy I brought the shock from had a nice tricked out NC30 race bike and used them as a pair so thats how it stayed.

Forgive my ignorance, but how is that linkage linked to above actually adjustable?

Parts 12 & 24 allow the lower link to pivot more efficiently.speedy231278 wrote:Forgive my ignorance, but how is that linkage linked to above actually adjustable?

Not sure if I made that word up but it isnt adjustable, but movable?Neosophist wrote:Dog bone is longer and the link that is fixed on the NC30 linkage is movable.Drunkn Munky wrote:Neo, how does the RC linkage differ to the NC one? i take it the mounting points are the same but what about the dog bone length and arrangement of the tri link.
.
On the 30 linkage it is an interference fit rubber block which doesnt do a great deal. The RC30 moves around as its a different design (as cammo put!)
No idea if its better or not but it came with the shock and the previous rider was a good racer, shock was fully rebuilt 2 years ago and only had a couple of races since then so it was good buy for my bike.

Re: RC30 rear shock on an NC30/35?
Would spring rates be equivalent if using a stock RC30 shock on an NC35? I have an Ohlins on my RC30, so I've got the stocker sitting in a box. I was going to see about fitting an S1000RR or CBR/GSXR shock, but if this is a better plan (no mods to frame/batt box) maybe I should go that route?
