Hello, i was thinking of buying Tyga fairings for my NC35.
Either the T10 or tyga eyes III, and of course the seat kit
what i was wondering is if these kits are hard to fit?
And would they look alright unpainted? Not too shabby?

I know a lot of people on here frown at the Tyga fairings but I do believe they offer a alternative if your fairings are a mess HOWEVER if you do get a Tyga kit do it right and get a decent paint job done!!!!

I hate seeing these kits fitted and left as all white, to me it says the rider is skint and has done a half arsed job :?

I remember reading sometime back that Tyga offered a basic paint service if they liked you for a small fee, I have seen the Tyga logo faings (google search) in person on someones bike and they looked decent and im sure there was a NSR 250 floating around the bike mags about 6 years back that had a Tyga kit fitted with there own sprayer having done a Fortuna???? replica from memory for like £200 quid in Thailand before it was shipped... You would however need to get in touch with Jap 4 performance as they are the uk importer and see if they offer this!!!!

So in short plain white unpainted would look crap and if you do this conversion do it right as they have kinda got a bad rep due to spanner monkies doing a shit job of installing them

just my 2 cents....

or if you cant afford paint try a wrap like mine lots cheaper than paint and with a heat gun and a few pulls it will come off ready for paint or a new wrap with no rubbing

:plus: Info on bike wrapping and costs would be most welcome. Was that just a white wrap with all the rest being decals on top? Do you 'seal' over the top to stop the decals from lifting at the edges? etc etc

P.S. More pics ;)

i was quite lucky as my mate owns http://www.protintuk.co.uk/ so all i paid for was the wrap , it was hexis pro wrap and cost if i remember about £130 for 5 meters and as i helped him do the wrapping in the evenings over the course of a couple of weeks the wrapping was done for free,
it can be quite tricky to do but with the right tools i think most anyone could do it themselves, all you really need is a hot air gun and some rubber block squeegees and the the ability to count to ten a lot lol, the wrap goes on quite well and if you make a mistake you heat it up and pull it back re heat and its like new again any creases in the wrap just disappear.(you can screw a bit up into a ball heat it with the gun and give it a pull and its like new again) but i think he would of charged anywhere up to £400 or so for a full wrap in a single colour, the wrap is sealed at the edges with a special sealer to stop it lifting, the graphics were done by brooky and i added them myself after the wrapping was done and they went straight on with no sealer and are holding really well with no peeling at all so far.
To be honest not one person who has seen or commented on the bike has even noticed till i point it out that its wrapped.
After helping him wrap the bike im confident i could probably do it myself if i ever wanted to change the scheme ill give it a go. without a doubt the hardest bit was the tank as there is only so much stretch you can put on the wrap so careful planning is key, i think we started at the fuel cap recess and worked clockwise round the tank.

..Edit.. i stated i bought 5 meters just to be sure next time id buy 7 or so as we were right on the limit we had no room for errors at all so if you put a hole in it it has to come off and it quite easy to push it too far and hole it,
also there are more pics in the rebuild thread on my signature
