I know its going to sound wierd, but i heard peanut butter is a brilliant thing to restore black plastics to original colour........

thanks but ive tried the bumper stuff and it didnt make much difference at all. I think pale grey beyond what the bumper stuff can handle.
Peanut butter sounds interesting but i will have to get someone else to do that due to my peanut allergy haha.

You are better keeping an eye out on ebay.
I replaced both of mine - very cheaply.
The left handswitch gear was brand new for around £20 off ebay - sold mine on ebay for £10.
The right hand one was £15 - not new but loads better than mine - again sold mine on ebay for £10.
Looks 100% better.
Remember other honda bikes have the same gear fitted to them, so search for them as well.

I put some regular motor oil on all the black plastics. Repels water too.

Gtechniq C4 is quite expensive but very good for restoring tired looking plastic.
