Are these re-usable?
I'll be doing valve clearances when winter sets in and want to get stuff sorted before christmas overtime at work starts piling up.

Yes as long as they are not leaking. They can go hard & brittle with heat & age but are generally good to reuse.

Smear grease on the face to seat/seal it. [all I use on gaskets]
Never replaced them in over 20 years on RC/NC.

I've not much experience on the nc & none on the rc unfortunately!
I have done a few (rocker gaskets) on Honda V twins which are a similar design & type of gasket. It tends to be the rear of the rear gasket that goes probably due to exhaust heat/lack of airflow. It tends to be mileage rather than age that does them in, normally 60-70k +
They go very hard & brittle so don't seal properly. If they are not weeping beforehand they are fine to reuse but have a check that they are still supple.

I bought a pair of these thinking the manual said replace, like everything else. In fact it says replace if crappy. So, if yours come off in one piece and aren't cracked or split, etc, then you're on to a winner...
