I guess someone will tell me I should have looked at somewhere obvious on the site but where do I get the paint codes for my bike.

Depends on the year of bike but if you want paint for a gun RS Racepainy or Bike Colours should supply it.

I know the 4DX/3TJ white metallic is Yamaha paint code GE - Silky White. Not sure on the rest

My bike is a 3TJ2 and does not have an original paint job so I can't match the colours to what's already there.

I'd say the basic white is the same as the RR and the red on the SP will be similar to other Yamahas of the time. Again I'd say those paint suppliers will have a match.

Yamaha 1987 to 91;

Blue=Atlantic Blue=00UY (Sikkens= 3000)

Red=Fine Red=00LN.
=Apple Red=(Sikkens= Are 00H9)

Yamaha Silky White (Basecoat) Sikkens = Yam 0 OGE

Fleet Factors = Sikkens dealers.

These are for 3EN2 but may suffice for others.

Vinyl for red decs=nearest is Tomato Red.

This was repainted using the above.

I take it Sikkens is a paint supplier? where do you order it from? water or oil based?

I tried getting silky white a while back and the only place i could find that did it was RS paints and the price was silly.
