are as bad as i remember.

I have tripped my (used to be) lovely triarm back to frame, engine and swingarm taking everything to bits as i go. "How bad can i be" I think "I have done this twice before and it always went back together"-what an idiot!

Brand new battery, tried on another bike and it will spin up the starter like a goon un on both but i have no other power. No lights, horn, idiot lights etc. Checked every connection and fuse (i think), switchgear is soaking in contact cleaner as we speak and am hoping that will sort it. If not, anyone got any ideas???

So do you not have any power at all?
Have you checked your main fuse on the starter solinoid should be a 30amp fuse under the main plug, also the fuse box connections can be a bit shit give them a clean with some sand paper and put new fuses in, double check your earths to frame and engine are good aswell.

You don't say if you put the bodywork back on. As the fuse box lives in the top fairing, have you removed it and plugged it back in the loom? Easy mistake to make

Cheers for the advice lads! Wondered if i was stupid enough to forget to put the fusebox back on, turns out no i wasn't! I took that stupid, bought it a pink hat and matching heels then laughed at it with my super extra stupidness...

Every connection cleaned with solvent and wet and dry. Battery topped up with the optimate. Fusbox removed, no spares so cleaned up the originals and all the terminals. Had a brew and three roll ups, swore a lot and muttered.

Decided *insert other word for men's danglies* TO IT, i'll find the volt meter and show it a thing or two. Started taking the connectors apart before wondering why i had one connector with different coloured wires coming out than i had going in........................

I remember thinking as i took it apart the first time "easy to put back together, it has no common connectors"

Woudl that connector you are on about be either the neutral or oil switch plug as they are the same connectors and i have got them mixed up once before lol, they sit next to each other in the wire holder under the tank

Nope....sorry for the delay been a busy boy cocking up the forks, headstock and losing bits that i REALLY need to progress. It was hanging around at the front behind the headlights... I have now worked my way down from cretin to moron!

I've done dozens of stick coil conversions for customers without a hitch. Then I do my own bike and wire them up completely wrong I blame the flu (not man-flu as the wife's been off with real flu the last week so it's her fault lol).

Im thinking about stick coils for the 23, not sure what ones to go for though, any ideas?

R6 5EB or 5SL, GSXR600 K1-K5, ZX6R P6-P8 should all do the job

Exactly what advantages would you hope to achieve with the stick coils? Everyone seems to be doing the mod, also, is it just a matter of wiring them up in series or do you need owt else?
