Not sure but if it was an Original Honda key it should have the Key number stamped on it (obviosuly you would need to have noted this down BEFORE you lost it)
Usually like B53 etc. (its only 3 digits).. keysinthepost.co.uk I belive is the right place will get you a new key for 8 quid delieverd.
Might be worth emailing them to see if they can do one from the igntion barrel itself.

Would a locksmith be able to do anything with it?

I've heard of people taking Ignition barrels to locksmiths. For the sake of 2 bolts, and a connector clip, and a trip to the locksmith with your bikes papers, could save you alot of money.

For anyone whos interested, i took my ignition barrel off and took it along to a local everyday locksmith! hes had a look at it and is making up two keys for it for £25! it would have been around £10 but he couldnt make out the number on the barrel so hes finding out the hard way! I guess the message here is to not be a nobber and loose your key! (lesson learned!)

Yep! To further add some info, if you have the original Honda key (maybe not if you are not the original owner) it will have the key number stamped on the lower part of the key blade. Example Z11.
Write this in a safe place, you can use it to order a new key from many places and it will fit right away.
