Hi all,
Need to double check this. Can a bike fail an MOT by having mismatched tyres? i.e. BT090/ BT92 combo?
Cheers.

I wouldnt think so, as long as both have legal depths of tread.

typically no unless you have a radial and a crossply combination, or the speed ratings are wrong, or the tyre is so oversized it would be dangerous to ride.

This.

BT090 front with BT92 rear is a very common combination from riders who got fed up with rear tyres only lasting 4000 miles or less!

As long as each tyre is legal depth of tread and no faults on it, you'll be reet.
