Im trying to install a manual fan switch for my nc30 and my dad seems to think ive got an intermittent connection as our fluke doesnt read 12v all the time, is there any common problems with this on a nc30 i should check out first?

Thanks for any input

Where are you measuring the 12 volts?

As Neo asked.

For what it is worth, I'd run a new supply direct from the battery through a relay & switch via ignition circuit and connect IN PARALLEL to the existing circuit. i.e; don't disconnect the original wiring.

Neo: My area mostly country and she doesnt get to stretch her legs often so she gets pretty damn hot all the time, would just help the situation.
Magg: Measuring the 12v from the live wire to the thermostat
Thunderace: im not great with electronics thats why my dads involved.. that kinda went over my head :(

Do you mean the wire to fan switch at the radiator or the temp gauge sensor at the thermostat housing?

Its easy and been covered quite a bit before.
place a switch with one wire to earth (a good earth) and the other to the fan switch on the left hand side of the lower rad. crimp into the original single wire

switch pressed - fan operates.
