i would check the oil level just in case its low....if its the later type forks you have on the nc30 then you can adjust pre-load and damping.
for adjusting preload you need a suitable spanner on the adjuster flats, clockwise to increase preload and vice versa.....for dampening its the part in the centre,a screwdriver in the slot...clockwise to increase dampening and vice versa...when you do the preload make sure both are done equally and there should be lines on the adjuster to indicate this....

This worked for me i fitted a set of cbr600 springs from a 1998 model and put new fork oil in kept it at the standard oil level now it doesn't dive so much and it handles a lot better.l

The NC30 has two types of forks - one with a little brass screw in the fork tops. the other with just a large screwdriver flat in it.

I am also pretty sure that compression damping is not adjutsable externally anyways..so you need to get some heavier springs (if you are 13st or more) and maybe use a touch more oil in the forks to make it ramp up towards the end of the stroke.

It may be that your forks have been dropped through the clamps? How much of the tops sticks through the yokes?

Also - do you have a 120/70 front tyre? Check the sizes on it as the std is 120/60 and the taller /70 section can easily hit the rads/bodywork.

just had a quick look at your bike, nice rebuild looking good....it looks as if its the later forks with both adjustments!
what year is the bike.....?do you know if its a r3k,r3l,r3n???the r3k forks are not adjustable which is or should be a 89 bike with engine no. starting nc13e-120........
the other models of nc30 all have adjustable forks and im pretty sure from the pics that your forks are fully adjustable.
:D :D :D
