I'm sure some people here were interested in getting this kit in a post i read ages ago, but thought they didnt have any kits left as they are not in the JE catalogue as stated on Ebay (below). I guess there is only a few kits left so snap one up while you can - £550 inc p&p

TTS Performance have been the UK distributors for JE Powersport forged pistons for 20 years. As distributors we have had custom pistons made for various applications, these pistons are not in JE's catalogue. There was a definate need for oversize pistons for the Japanese 400cc fours so we had JE make 3mm oversize high compression pistons for the HONDA VFR 400, this brings the capacity to 442cc and approximately 13:1 compression. Ideal for fast road or racing applications. These light weight forged pistons come complete with a 3 ring piston ring set, forged pin and wire clips. Oversize head gaskets are supplied separately or the purchaser can modify the stock head gasket. The barrel requires reboring and honing to suit, new liners are not required.

The reason you will not find the kit in any JE catalogue is because it is a special manufacture for TTS Performance.

I just randomly found the ebay ad and though i would mention that there are some kits still available if anyone wanted one. Im sure anyone who can read, can see that the kits were a custom batch.

oooooooooo they do them for the cbr400 aswell hmmm im thinking the 29 gets a set as i build it :D lol

Not sure about the 29 but they did do a 440 and 480 for the 23...

might think about the 440 for my 23 then, i think 480 might be a bit too big and make the sleeves too thin

the cylinder walls when they bore them out for the kit i heard the 480 kits leave them a bit thin

Your probably need a liner for the 480 kit like the 490 kit on the NC30/35, adds about another grand to the price for the extra work involved

I have one of these big bore kits for my 23 but havent fitted it yet. Benn lying in my shed for a few years now
