Coolant Leak : (

The leak is very minor, noticed a tiny drop of coolant the other night. Stripped righthand side fairings off last night to trace the leak. Looks like the jubilee clip on the hose which goes onto what looks like the thermostat housing is no longer doing its job and letting a slight amount of coolant pass.

Only thing is this jubilee clip is directly under the right hand side of the frame with head of the jubilee clip facing the underside of the frame lol.

I was wonder how yous lot remove this particular clip or tighten it? Pliers? or have yous been lucky and had the head facing out so you could use a screw driver? Ive even removed the tank to see if i can get on top of the clip from that way but thats made a shite of difference.

And where is the best place to source some jubilee clips?

Thanks in advance :rocks:

Can you get a spanner to the head? Usually something around 6 or 7mm fits.... There must be a way of getting to it, someone had to tighten the thing somehow, trouble is that sometimes when you do this with the car/bike in bits, you don't realise that later on it makes it impossible to take off without major disassembly of other stuff first!

I had this but on the other side, it would have got in that position somehow, it can make its way back!
WD40 and something to spin it around using the slots is what i did.

All sorted, i managed to get in the with some long nose pliers, once loose enough i swivelled it round and used a screwdriver, replaced with a nice shiny stainless one. : :rocks: D
