Hello, yes it will.

If anything, it may be too big & be more suitable for radial brakes but I'd use it if I had it.

I currently have a couple of different sets up's, my main 30 currently uses SP1 calipers & a 954 Fireblade nissin 5/8th's m/c & works very well.
& my No3 30 uses Fireblade calipers (silver versions of the SP1 calipers) & an RSV 16mm brembo m/c & also works very well.

Basically, anything from a 2000 onwards bike (the newer the better), 600cc or bigger will do the job, as long as its bigger than 14mm, so you have a whole truck load of bikes to choose from.
Going radial may cause you problems with clearance though.

The stock SP1 m/c is 19 mm but I find it overkill on the NC35, even when using a "shorty" lever.

I run sp1 calipers with an r1 brembo 16mm master cylinder and find it superb. Great feel and power. No clearence issues and apart from needing the hel adaptor kit to use standard lines, is plug and play.

So to clarify could sp1 calipers 'bolt-on' to an nc30? What adjustments would be made? And what m/c would be best?

I'm currently coming round to servicing the brakes and I am happy to replace lots of parts to make a big improvement.

Sorry, away from the forum a few days. By overkill I mean too much braking pressure for such a light bike. IIRC the SP1 has a 19 x 20 m/c which Honda changed to a 19 x 18 for the SP2 in order to give more 'feel' to the brake lever. When choosing an aftermarket m/c most SP1/2 owners opt for a 19 x 18 but these bikes weigh in at over 200 kg in street trim, significantly more than an NC30/35. I found it very easy to lock up the front wheel using a 19 x 20 m/c on my street RVF. Of course what compound brake pads you choose will make a difference too but even with hard pads and a short lever I feel like the 19 x 18 m/c on my RVF track bike is too much.

Just my 2 cents worth.

@leef82 so I could use standard everything else (NC30 parts) with the sp1 calipers. I.e. would I need to change brake lines, discs? Etc

Thanks for your help!

You'll need brake lines to suit the calipers and it's a good idea to fit a master cylinder from the same bike that the calipers came from. You'll also need adapter plates if they're going on an nc30.
