What are they like? Any known problems? I've had 30s and 35s before, how'd they relate?

They are old school - lovely motor, but different. Not as nice quality wise.
I had one a few months, it was cool. Handling was flexy IMO - it twanged a bit when cranking on.
Main problems are dodgy collectors - rusty and rare.

Much less of an overall package than the 30 / 35.
The 24 engine is the same basis as the 30/35 engine so you should know what to expect from the engine.
Makes the same power, has an oil cooler too. Firing order is the same as the big engines like the old 750 v4's etc (180 degrees)
Brakes / frame / suspension / tyres are all from an older generation, the suspension is 37mm soft forks, the brakes are two piston sliders, wheels run 100/90-16" up front and 130/70-18" at rear leaving poor choice of tyres.
If your used to riding the 30/35, especially hard then you'll really notice the limitations of the 24.
Not a bad bike by all means, but for a 400 'race' bike it was really nailed with the 30's generation of bikes.
Weak points are the collector rusts and new ones are expensive, 200+ and depending on the collector you usually have to remove the engine from the frame.
Also reg-rec same as the NC30/35.

How much? You can get them for next to nothing if you shop around.. depends what it needs doing and what you want to do but it might be a cheap buy!
If you need exhaust / service / chian and sprockets + tyres then it's already a money pit..
