This may seem silly, but if money were no object would it be possible to buy every single part (providing its available) off the akhara site and build a brand new NC30?

Just in case I won the lottery...

It'd be nice but unfortuantly many many pieces are no longer available from Honda,

Frames, cases, even gaskets can be difficult to get.

I'm not sure if Honda still has the tooling, if they do then they'd probably run a batch off if you placed an order for 50 or so.

Maybe if you are super rich you could get Honda to run a new batch of 30's off :-)

That would be awesome. I wonder why they don't look at bringing these back. It seems to me the demand for them is pretty good even today.

Presuming Honda do still have the tooling to make the bikes, it's the start-up costs that would kill it.

The bikes were expensive when new and made in large numbers, making them in small numbers, the huge start-up costs would have to be passed onto the bikes and make them out the price range of most buyers.

Ever tightening emissions tests and legislation would probably mean a re-working on the carbs / with possibilty of fuel injection (more cost)

And while there is a loyal fan-base, you only need look at the amount of people who fit k-conversions / tyga stuff to their bikes to make it look 'modern' is reason enough for Honda not to make it.

Ah well, can always dream about winning big ;)
