Loud ticking noise 1wg Fzr400
Ok so I havent ran the fzr for a while, fired it up no problem with the choke, its developed a loudish ticking/tappety sound from under the engine. Its coming specifically from the l/h/s of the exhaust nr collector? is this exup valve? The bike was against the wall on stands and I didnt have time to get into it but when I was feeling around underneath I kinda pulled it towards me it seemed to stop the noise..
Sorry to be so vague but Ive not really got to know the fzr since i got so involved with the gsxr..

if it's in the collector then it will be the exup, you will need to drop the cover off it if it has one! Have a look to see if the bolt in the centre is done up properly and that the cables are not too slack. they can be adjusted on the cable to tighten if needed.
hope this helps!

You only tighten the cables finger tight on the adjusters.
