Just wondered the actual reason for the speed light to light up on the NC24? seems to come on at 85 ish...

Pre 89 Japanese market bikes weren't restricted but they had a speed light that came on at 80 kmh, which is/was the speed limit over there.

I think you can remove the bulb without any adverse affects if it's annoying you.
