HEL braided brake lines (Will they fit 3EN1?)

Just looking to get some Hel braided hoses for a 3EN1.

Looking at their site the say they cover the earlier year and later year models but nothing in between for the 3EN1 or 3EN2.

Can I use a set for another model (say 1WG or 3TJ) that will still fit properly?

1WG lines will fit, they're the same.

If you have the standard master cylinder then you need a 3 line set. A 2 line (or race set) uses a double banjo bolt which fouls the rev counter and fails the MOT

Thanks both for the quick replies. Just getting the rear for now as it already has braided front hoses (no idea what make/age). Wasn't aware of the issue with the two line set up fouling the rev counter so that is very useful to know.

Hi, another quick note , i've got a double line set up on my 3en1 and its fine doesnt hit anything.

me too when i had one! passed mot and went through race scrutineering. tj lines will be too short for thefront so dont be tempted by them!

The issue was on my 3EN2, I tried everything to get them in but still the hit the rev counter, I even cut the rev conter to get them in but still no. So I fitted a 3 line setup and it was fine

I have always use speedflow fittings and made my own.

I have a 2 line setup on my old 86 genesis, misses the rev counter by about 5mm, easily acheived by loosening the mount bolts of the clock brackets (where it attaches to the frame) then apply pressure to the clock faces when retightening, adjusts the clock angle by about 2 degrees allowing the long banjo bolt to pass easily..
