600 clocks into 400 loom

Post by yam400 »

hi all, i'v come across a little problem with my 4/6 conversion and its this:

i'v put the 600 dials into the 400 instrument housing and connected the 600 instrument wires to it.(running 600 cdi)
now i'm connecting the 600 instrument wires into the 400 loom. I have all other wires figured out apart from the one wire (green & white)connected to the speedo.
looking at the wiring diagram connects straight to the turn signal relay, no connection on the 400 loom for this as all 400 speedo wie go to cdi.

So if i leave the green & white wire disconnected will the everything still work?

what actully does this connction do, sincethe speedo works off the wire fron the front wheel?

should i connect it to the turn signal relay on the 400 loom ?

thanks all

The 600 speedo is mechanical and runs from the speedo cable. The only electrical wires I'd expect to see are the panel lights
