any fairings can be made to fit any bike.. so long as you have the patience and money to do it.

I have nc29 bodywork on a vfr400, but I doubt it would go on easily the other way around, the V4 is a fair bit slimmer.

Stickshift do you have photo's of the bike with the 29's bodywork on, I wanted to do the same thing but didn't think it's possible??

I put the nc29 bodywork on because I wanted to put a track bike back on the road for a cheap commuter. I picked the nc29 panels and road gear up for dirt cheap (equivalent to 75 quid), so decided to use them instead of forking out for nc30 bodywork.
Everything went on fairly easily, it’s far form finished, but you can imagine what it will look like. I used the nc29 front subframe so the nc29 lights were spaced apart properly for the front fairing, the nc30 instruments are bolted to that. The nc30 mirror stay bolted straight up to the fairing.
Everything has been done on the cheap just to get a bike back on the road. My other 400 is spoilt, this one will serve well considering how little it has cost so far.
NC29.5:
A couple of inches were chopped off the front of the seat unit so that it would mount to the nc30 subframe. All lights and indicators plugged straight into the nc30 loom.
It looks messy in front of the seat unit, I’ll tidy it up later with some moulded carbon covers, should hide the mess nicely. You can see how much wider the nc29 is by how much of a gap shows in the fairing lowers where the nc29 crankcase pokes out the fairing cutouts. Black mesh will be put over these holes so that they don’t look so empty. The tank is yet to be painted.
Yes there’s a bit of overspray on the old slicks…

That's the worst tire masking job I've ever seen!

Haha, yeah not much point in masking up worn tyres.
If you look closely you can see that the rear is squared off from a big burn out.. :D
Putting an rvf cowl/lowers on an nc23 would be difficult, you can see that you'd need cutouts in the rvf fairing for the engine to stick out. The rvf fairing is too narrow for an easy swap.

I had an NC30 race fairing with my NC23 when I first got if off fleabay (many moons ago) and I can categorically say it will not fit. (without cutting it down the middle and adding a few inches...)
