2 Things that are annoying me about the NC30

Post by jetblack »

1) Sick of looking at my elbows when I look in the mirrors. Anyone else find this? Does anyone sell either longer mirrors or some with that concave type glass at the outside edge so you can see more?

2) Bored of the slippery seat. Constantly sliding forward as i go over the tiniest of bumps/get on the brakes. I'm going to get some tank grip pads but suspect that with the slippery seat i'll still slide forward but just bend a the knees instead! Can anyone reccommend a better material to get the set recovered in?

Anyway thats my moaning done.

count yourself lucky you dont have to travel in and around london daily!

mirrors are wank on the NC i agree with that,

seat situation, fit some stomp grips to the tank, and or recover the seat in alcantara/suede will give you far better grip,

Try a Tribo seat cover. here http://www.triboseat.com/

here is the universal riders seat http://www.ekmpowershop6.com/ekmps/shop ... -378-p.asp

There are mirror spacers available for the 29, not sure if they will fit the 30 though, someone will know.

I can be doing the legal limit'ish and get many car drivers undertake or ride my tail on the motorway, stupid idiots.. its not just the 30 they are after, believe me.

Are the mirrors bent?

After my crash I couldn't see out the bike, I got a new mirror-stay bracket and I can once again see out of the mirrors.

Has anyone been polishing the seat? As above though there are plenty of coverings available.

Can you put the mirrors on the wrong side? I swear I can see even less now after having the front fairing off.

To look in the mirrors I have to tuck my elbow in to my stomach and drop my head down and to the left or right. Quite annoying.

uk mirrors work a treat, try sourcing a pair of mirrors from a VJ23 and they are a good compromise

I find Original honda jap spec mirrors as useable as any other bike ive rode, its the cheap chinky copys that are crap and are about as usefull as a chocolate teapot.
