Could be a dodgy HT lead or the coil pack is failing when the bike's up to running temperature. Try a new set of HT leads forst of all :peace:
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Spark plug maybe? Otherwise as you say compression test to rule out mechanicals.

if it was the coils surely 2 cylinders would go not 1?
