as said really,
does anyone know of any other forks that fit the gsxr gk76 400 ,and keeping/ using the stock calipers, spindle, triple clamps etc
looking for better suspension as im thinking about putting a 650 motor in. im not sure if even the SP gsxr forks will be man enough tbh, has anyone done an upgrade keeping stock everything else.
cheers

The later 400 came with comp/rebound adj as standard and for a couple of years the 750 used the same calipers and 300mm discs.
Most pepole swap out to the zx6 radial fromt end as this keeps the Oe clamps.

Ah right, I'd love not have to change anything else but the forks tbh. If that's the case maybe its worth getting a pair of gsxr 400 forks worked on!? Say harder springs and set up right!? Do you guys think the 400 forks if worked will be good enough with a 650cc motor planted in a small/light weight chassis.
As iv been a tool and bought a shed load of running gear and front parts which will need to be replaced if I can't use these forks :/
I took a look at some 750M forks off a gsxr , look identicl but found out the spindle is a 20mm, not a 17 mm like the gk76. Plus they have a 50/54 tree fitment..... I'm in a right pickle here lol

Any fully adjustable forks can be worked on to make em as good as you want.

Well that's prob the best bet for me then, so I need to find some fully adjustabe gsxr 400 forks lol I know there is a mod that can be done to the rgv250 forks involing zxr 400 internals, this then allows for the fully djustable inners and toips to be used on the rgv stanchiiion tops too, wonder if the same mod can be made to the gk76 fors seeing they are nearly identical....
Or have them worked and made adjustale during that process, I know you can buy aftermarket adjustable tops for forks, seen them on egay.

76A is not too bad in the handling depo,
Get the engine up and running and sort the forks out after you have it running, you never know it might be spot on.
If the 650 motor is lighter than the 400 you may just find it ok.

Tizz a good paoint mate tbh. Ill wait and see then. Currently I just have vj22 forks, but gk76 everything else....so I still need some stock forks to work with....but as you say, the vj22 are exact fit for everything upfront and tree, so can use these for time being and keep an eye out for some good gk76 forks or SP ones.
Thanks for advice guys, much appriciated as always. :)

just to add for future search , bannoffy hit me with a reply on oldschool forum and assured me the gk76 forks can be worked with very good results on a larger CC with some minor mods, so panic over for me.
thanks guys.
