I think I'm right in saying the SP gsxrs came with different carbs to the normal gsxrs ?
If so whats the difference?
Can I put normal carbs on the SP bike ?

SP carbs have a TPS sensor and pressurized floats. Has more tubes.

Solid advice mate cheers, do they have an id number stamped on them too, I heard someone say there were different sizes of carb ie 32 mm and 34mm, which are SP and which are normal or are they the same.

The SP carbs are bigger (35 or 36mm can't remember) so the manifold and/or airbox might need changing.
They also have a TPS, so using non SP carbs would probably require you to switch to the non-SP CDI.
To be honest, i'd look at swapping to a less problematic carb system altogether if you're looking for a change.

They are 35mm, why you thinking of swopping them?

When the owner got the bike he was given a set of spare carbs with it and was told they needed swapped for the ones in the bike as they had a crack in them which was currently covered in chemical metal.
I don't know much about gsxr's but I did know the SP had different carbs so to save some head scratching I thought I'd make sure we had two sets of SP carbs.
Thanks for the help so far lads.
