3TJ rear wheel

What all model rear wheel fits the 3TJ..
Seem to be hard enough to get and was wondering what else fits.. ;)

Only the 3TJ.
The wheel is narrower than the other Yamaha wheels, the hub is smaller and so is the rear brake disc

Ummmmmm... thats what I didn't want to hear....lol...
I take it they are hard to come across then , I will be looking for one for a set of wets in the next few weeks and though if I didn't get a 3TJ one that a 4DX or something might fit ...
Time to go hunting then...lol

The 4dx is the officialy imported 3jt,So the wheels are the same.

Well yes a 4DX will fit they're just the official 3TJ. maybe the TZR250 ... but the 17" ones are probably rarer than the 3TJ.
The rears aren't usually to difficult to find sit tight and one will turn up. Maybe try Partsearch UK

You can make a 5x17" Yam wheel fit, but it's a tight fit (oooooooooo eeeeeeeeeeeeeee, ooooo eeeeeeee oooooo ooooo ummmm ummmm awaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy)

and you need a custom caliper hanger.

Must check that out ...HAve a 4JH rear wheel here will slot it in and see ...
HAve you ever tryed the 4JH wheel Kayla and if so is it a heap of machine work.. :grin:

Yes I have, and it's not a load of work but you do need to make a new caliper hanger- the 3TJ one won't fit, the 4JH one is too wide and the disc runs quite near the swingarm so the bracket needs to be stepped to clear the disc. I'm about to do one today, as it happens :grin:

And what about spacers do the 3TJ spacers fit or will new spacers have to be made up....
And I suppose if you just happen to be making the bracket you also might happen to be making spacers ... :grin:
Could you PM me a price for the bracket and spacers if different ones are needed ..
