What is the best way to get a few extra ponies from a 3TJ and not costing a fortune ..
Looking to get a bit of extra power in the standard motor I have in at the minute dont want to spend a fortune on it as want to get NM to build me a good second motor when I get a few more bits gathered and a few quid to throw at it ..

So just looking the best option of low cost power increase for now,,

Sort out the suspension

The best thing would be not to tune the engine but maybe tune your brain - go to a race school and learn to open the throttle quicker / brake later.

Have RRSP front end in her that was done by Maxton..
RRSP rear shock in her but have a ZX6 rear shock modifided for the 3TJ coming to try out ...

LOL.... A strimmer engine would be powerfull enough for me will only be using her for a few track days ,,,Its a mate thats most likely going to be riding her this year for the road racing in Ireland ,
He rode a standard 4DX last year and had podium finish at near enough every meeting he raced on her, A second at the Ulster Grand Prix .
He just found her a bit flat at low revs coming out of some road ends so am try to get a slight power gain low down at no big cost till I get a few pound together to get the other motor sorted ,,

id get it on a dyno, should help smooth the power, then get a derestricted cdi to help a bit more. make it a light as possible and should be better. the only real difference to the dx is the lack of restriction i believe.

Stick a 4JH engine in it! Sell the 3TJ lump to a racer, buy a 4JH lump with the proceeds and stick it in your bike- an instant +30-ish bhp for free if you do it right Then race the 4/6 in Thunderbikes, cos they're allowed now...
