Hi All,
Have done a bit of searching around, but can't find anything definitive...
Are the front disks for an NC30 the same as a vtr1000?? others??
I have just noticed model numbers etc seem to line up but not for every manufacturer...
Cheers,
Shaun.

The NC30 discs are the same as an awful lot of other Hondas.

great thanks for that.
Noting it is a bit hard to find race brakes for a VFR400, but they are everywhere for 900's and vtr's!!
Cheers

Race brakes?
You can get HRC spec race pads for the standard 4 pots which work extreemly well.. even the stock OE nissin pads are great for moderate to fast track.
Providing calipers are in decent condition.
A common upgrade is fireblade / sp calipers as they are in generally better condition.
I have a mint set of stock calipers on my bike with overhauled seals / pistons / braided lines / o/h master-cylinder and there bloody fierce.
Fantastic brakes, wouldn't really want anything more agressive!
Are you building a race bike?

Yeah, race bike. Have to have standard calipers and M/C so just looking to put the best gear i can on.
The standard setup i have works pretty well, however disks are undersize so need to get some new ones...

I see.. do you mean the OEM discs are undersize or your specific discs are? Standard calipers? Are these NC30 calipers or just any bog standard bike caliper?
If you have money to play with you can do a 310mm disc conversion with late Fireblade or SP1/2 calipers (I believe the gold ones are better calipers according to discussion on here, pistons are better? Large pistons and pads)
The standard adapters work with original 296mm discs, I believe the adapters for the 310mm discs are difference.
You will need brake lines also.. the calipers have bigger pistons and pads so should have more bite.
