okay. for a long time i have wondered where in the hell. do these air/filter flaps go? ive never been able to tell..... i know this is stupid.... but id like to know, thanks

they go over the front head and the top pics just falls back
its designed to reduce the turbulent air on the air intake snorkel

on another note, whats going on with them coil leads ?
i dont recall any of mine looking like that, so perhaps the running issues are down to aftermarket shite.
change the coils for good used genuine items and original leads.

ahh thanks. yeah, got the bike with those leads in, never really thought that, that could be the problem... i had bought some HT leads from Rick O several months ago. just hadnt had the time to install them yet. il change them when i have some free time. the coils are genuine tho.

put some new plugs in too, i have had several over the years that start fine, run for a bit then breakdown when hot underload and runs on 2 - 3 at best.
just bite the bullet and get new ones.

hmm okay il do that....shall i change the oil? cause i removed the valve cover and there is oil in there but.. it smells of petrol. maybe when i dropped the bike, some fuel got mixed in with the oil.
