hi still got problem with my fzr400 1gw, bike was running crappy and idle was iratic and when you pulled clutch in it stalled ,had some good advice last time i asked about said problem ,since then i have had new throttle cable , carbs cleaned and ballanced, replaced fuel pump, new fuel pump solinoid, new rectifier, new cdi unit, new air filter, new spark plugs, after all this the problem still remains, when you turn bike on you can here fuel pump priming ,you can ride bike but only for short distance then its as if the bike has run out of fuel ,you then have to turn bike of and on again and it primes again ,its as if there is no signal after the fuel pump has primed .dont have a clue what to do next ,if anyone can solve this problem for me i will be eternally greatfull cheers

What fuel pump? That's the EXUP servo you can hear.

Check the fuel tap isn't blocked and the main fuel hose to the carb isn't perished or kinked. Try emptying the tank and making sure there's no loose bits in it.

The fuel pump is the ticking noise when you first turn the ignition on - the exup is a weep weep sound.

Take out the fuel tap and clean the filter on top of it. Renew the fuel filter between the tank and fuel pump. Check the float bowl gaskets are ok - they can go hard and loose their seal. Tap the floats lightly and make sure they bounce on the valves then take the floats off and visual check the valves for wear.

I think it's the fuel filter.
