Hi all michael from cape town south africa.
Got a vfr nc 30 with a niggly little intermitened problem
bike goes fine for a few days then suddenly bogs down with very little power struggles to get the revs over 6000rpm the carbs have recently been synced and new air filter put in bikes seems to run out of fuel .
i have also cheaked the vacuum pipe and all seems to be fine .
If anyone has possibly got any other suggestions they will be greatly appreciated.

Hi have you checked to see if the petrol tank breather pipe is clear you can check if this might be the problem by pulling over and opening the filler cap when the bike bogs down if it then picks up you will need to clean the tank breather hope this helps rick

Hi MIke, welcome.
So - is yourr speedo connected or do you know if it has some form of derestrictor fitted?
The bikes have a limp mode that is triggered at 5.5k revs when the CDI cannot see the speedo.
So, sounds like that to me.....get checking the wiring between speedo and the loom. Check your earths etc. Easy to do, get the nosecone off and have a poke about!

Good evening guys and girls got some good news went through all the possible problems that could be causing
my vfr to loose power. checked the petrol tank breather pipe ,replaced the vacuum pipe, open and cleaned the petrol tap, flushed out the petrol tank as well as checking all the wiring but to no avail. Eventually checked the carbs and found it to be the jets that were gummed up badly cleaned them up and now she is going like a dream.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions .

Hi all
I have a vfr nc 30 and was just curious about something.
I watched a clip on the internet of a guy removing the ristrictors from the rubbers on the bottom of the carbs was just wondering what effect this will have on the performace of the motorcycle and are there any adjustments that need to be done to the carbs once this had been done.
Any answers will be greatly appreciated
Safe biking
Cheers Mike
