3TJ TRX850 Update

Well it's been a while since I mentioned this but I now have some news.
It's not good but it's news.

Fitting the TRX engine in a 3TJ it beyond my skill. The engine is just too long and it would worry me about catching the front wheel between the exhausts under breaking so I have halted the project.

I'm not saying it can't be done but various cutting and welding of the frame would be needed to get the engine far enough back and high enough up. I just don't feel skilled enough to cut a frame, weld it up and know it's strong enough.

I may just use the cycle parts to build a 4/6 hybrid though? Could be fun on the road!!

Looking on the plus side you've taken it as far as you need to and got an answer.
Forwards to 4/6 project then, they make good bikes

That's ace, I'm going to use that every chance I get!

As far as 4/6s go, they are awesome. I'm going to resurrect mine as soon as I can.

Yep it went as far as I needed to take it and I don't feel like it was a waste of time either, I have some more toys in the garage!!

Proverbs are great.
But I'm not sure I'm a wise man? :?

There are more mad ideas lurking!!

In the mean time I'm going to keep my eye's open for a 4JH!!

Shame my sister sold her Fazer, she would never have noticed the engine missing?
