Tyga muffler sound?

Hey guys,

Just got another NC35 and it is completely stock (aside from the horn!) and it is too quiet for my liking, as cars don't hear me in traffic. I'm not going to go to the trouble and expense of fitting a full system so I was just going to get one of the carbon oval shaped Tyga mufflers like this:

My old NC35 had a full Tyga system with long oval can:

Will just the muffler on its own sound similar to what my full system sounded like? And I'm guessing I'll have less torque but more power in the high revs since there will be less back pressure with the open muffler?

Cheers

It will sound similar to the full system without the raspy/tinny sound which is caused by the sprung, stainless pipework.

You'll notice no difference in performance, it will feel quicker but that'll just be the extra sound tricking your brain.

A dyno may show up small improvements though...

Thanks Alex. I was riding next to my mate on a CBR125 and he said he couldn't hear my bike because I wasn't revving it hard; when in fact I was revving at 12k+ RPM!

Cheers mate
