Hi guys so I got the electrics on my bike sorted and tested as best I could with the engine off. Now I can't seem to get her to start, hmmmmmm. When I hit the starter the engine just turns over continuously but she doesn't want to fire. I know the bike was last ridden about 3 weeks ago befor the electrics blew so there can't be all that much wrong could there?? Any help would be appreciated!!
Ciao

Well it could have fried much more if the ECU was popped.. you could have blown coils.. blown pick up coils.
Easy things first.
Kill switch not on?
Petrol turned to on?
Is the petrol tap vaccum pipe connected? If not you won't get fuel... if you open a drain screw on the carbs you should get fuel comming out the drain pipe.
Full choke NO throttle at all.
Well worth crack a plug and with the plug touching the cylinder head crank it over and check you get a spark, if not something else is broken.

Ah thanks so much man, I followed your checks and she eventually started when I switched to the reserve tank. How many liters of fuel does the reserve hold because I put 2 liters in and the tank was dry. Gonna head to the station now and fill her up!! She sounds like a beast :D

Ok on to my next problem. Until she's warm when I click her into first the engine dies?? It won't even turn over unless its in neutral? I've never experienced anything like it.

Faulty Clutch switch? (check the two wires are connected to the microswitch and that it's working.. if you want to bypass the switch you can connect them together with a piece of wire or such.
However, it sounds more like a dragging clutch?
Is your clutch adjusted properly?
What oil is in the bike / how old is it?

Not too sure how old the oil is but she's going in for a proper service and dyno tuning next week so I'll just keep a list of faults and get the mech to sort it all out. Thanks again for all the help, glad to have her running, couldn't have done it without you guys!!!
