Hey Dudes, first of all I'm new here so go easy!! I was just wondering if someone could tell me anything about my CBR 400 and in particular the colour scheme it has as I haven't seen another like it but everything suggests it is stock! It is obviously an NC29 Gularm of the year 1999 so I guess one of the first NC29 and its on a G plate. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Rano. (How do I post a picture with this thread? I told you I was New) Got it I have seen the thread with the list of spec along with the various stock colour schemes of which this does not feature but I am convinced it is how it came from the factory. Anyone have any ideas?

That is definately not a factory colour scheme. If you look under the passenger seat there should be a sticker there with a code on it that will tell you the original colour scheme

Re: Has anyone seen this colour scheme before??
Hi Yakama, Thanks for the advice about looking under the passenger seat. It has revealed that the bike is a CBR400RR L with the original colour code R-134 which when following one of your previous threads tells me it was Fighting red and Crystal white when it began life. It has been well looked after and maintained and shows no signs of being down the road on its side so strange for the colour change? I initially thought that the colour was a bit in your face but its grown on me and I now love it. It is a shame in that it is not factory paint in as much as that is what I thought I was buying but given the quality of the paint job and overall condition I'm not going to grumble! Thanks again for helping me clear up my uncertainties. Rano.

Re: Has anyone seen this colour scheme before??
I would say due to the bikes age that perhaps the fairings were a little ropey so maybe the owner wanted to brighten them up as a lot of riders do. I like it a lot, was wavering on doing it on my spare fairings actually.babyblueblade wrote: so strange for the colour change?
