Like a ThunderAce but a bit lighter.
Depending on the gearing it will wheelie a lot but that will wear the headraces quickly, the 1000 engine is physically bigger than the 400 and needs the frame cut to get it all in, painting it black might hide it a bit.
Looking at it they'd have been better off with a YZF750 as a start and building the T'Ace's engine into it a lot less fabrication.

No, not in the bike trade, I've been on this forum a while and previous guises of it too. I'm also on Performance Bike and Bimota Forums. I'm doing a college course though.
They was a 400 / 1000 on here once, it didn't last long the guy said it just broke itself and he got bored of changing the headraces. He had to drop the engine to change the plugs. The frame was cut around the clutch and also to get the carbs in .... engine's heavier too yada yada.

The Thunderace is an FZR1000 derived engine in a slightly modified YZF750 frame. I can't really see the point of putting the engine in a YZF frame (i have a Thunderace and the thought of putting the engine into a 400 frame is a bit scary. Still, be fun to do!

Putting the T'Ace engine in the YZF750 is a known mod - you need to sort out the engine top mount but it makes a good bike
