Strange behaviour on my wg3tj!

Post by MarkT »

Hi about a week ago my bike stated to run better low down, I just noticed it was going better and I could run on lower revs without stuttering. I thought something had cleared in the carbs which was great news. Most of the time it's like riding a new bike, real increase in power and I was thinking before that to have it dyno as it was very rich low down, but now the snatching is at really low revs and does not really affect riding the bike. I have never cleaned or balanced these carbs.

The one thing I notice now (may have always been there!) is that after a run and the bike is parked up for 30 to 60 minutes, it starts straight away is that for about 1/2 mile or few minutes power low down is poor and you can feel it's not quite right. After this time the bike runs great again and I love it!! Anyone else get this? I still can't make my mind up about a dyno as no exup straight through exhaust and 3tj carbs on a 1wg engine if the bike could be tuned better?

Not really a problem but just wondered what you all think!

Cheers
Mark

I'm sure the bike could be tuned better, that is on a dyno.
But the real question is how much better and for how much dosh only then you'll know if it's worth it.

Personally I'd have it done but I'd also wait until you've done all the jobs your going to do on it, afterall if you change the can you'll loose the settings.
