Levers

Anyone got adjustable levers? I'm looking at some Titax levers, don't know if any others fit?

(1988 CBR400RR)

I'm also getting;

New honda keys
Various bolts(has dzus 1/4 turn d-ring fairing fasteners but 2 are missing)
K&N oil filter, gonna change oil/coolant for castrol coolant and castrol power 1
Gonna get 15T renthal front, 42T renthal rear and renthal SRS chain
Going to change steering bearings for tapered roller bearings.
Already fitted brand new Bridgestone BT92 17" front and 18" rear
Castrol Dot4 brake fluid
It has aftermarket carbon fibre exhaust(very loud :) )
Gonna get R&G cotton reeels(anyone know size I need? think 8mm)
Carbon Yoke Protector
New right mirror and nut
New footpegs(black hopefully)
Knee grips(clear) for tank
R&G crash bungs
Double bubble screen, keeping it clear to look standard from a distance
Goodridge braided lines front and rear

thats on the list so far, bike has original fairings so they have a few scuffs for 23yrs old!

I think for brake you can buy any that fit to CBR... I'm personally using clutch lever from R1 :)) Titax is too expensive.

cant remember what make.. but a few years ago someone changed the levers and found the brake binding.
the lever was pressing slightly on the brake and was activating it.
i remember reading (here) that its a common issue with aftermarket levers...

so keep it in mind.. maybe the designs have changed for better.. but if you find an issue with the brakes.. bear in mind maybe the levers causing it.

i'll be getting a set like the ones in the ebay link for Hybrid when its ready for them.

Well I bought the titax ones and have to say I'm happy with them, so much so that I have them on both my race bikes now. Probably nothing wrong with the Chinese knock-offs but the fact they are only £29.99 for the set would be going through my mind each and every time I reached for the front brake, not exactly confidence inspiring when you hear all the complaints about other items, mostly bodywork granted, from that part of the world. Up to you at the end of it all, but when it comes to brakes I'd go for the best quality you can afford, I'd rather scrimp on something less functional.

I don't think manufacturer make much difference if we talk to levers - it's just piece of metal, there is nothing else. Of course, chariness use cheaper alloy and it's less stronger and no sign like brembo or etc. I would worrying if we talk about master cylinder, hose or calipers, but lever can be any. And in most cases brand manufacturer made theirs stuff in Chinа as well - like apple which do all stuff in China, add 300% interest and sell to us :)))

Don't attack me if I'm wrong but as far as I'm awar 1988 CBR400RR and 1991 CBR600F have exactly same oem clutch and brake levers so any you buy to fit the 91 600F will fit so that puts Titax and Pazzo in the game, either way can't afford them this second need to sort steering head bearings next week after paycheck arrive and then following week since there's no real mechanical(well none at all) issues after steering bearings fixed I'm gonna get RST boots to go along with my rst jacket and rst gloves ;)

cbr is bog standard apart from sprockets even chain is original i think, im surprised not even brake lines are braided after 23 years but its on the list to get goodridge lines front and rear, lot of money to go into bike yet lmao

P.S. if anyone knows that a knocking in the steering when taking a hard hit going over a pothole etc ISNT the bearings etc let me know, and its tapered roller bearings i'll be putting in, not new oem ball bearings that suck
