Ive got one of them, not really great for working on NC's as the pipes run underneth, plus it gets in the way a bit and its bloody heavy!

Thought it might not be ideal but it is literally the only thing (2nd hand) I've seen available. Is it possible to use it? If so, how?

Its gonna cost me about 70 pounds.

Yeah just remove the exhaust but thats not really ideal is it, to be fair i dont think its lifts the bike up enough to save breaking your back anyway. Build a wooden bench if you have the room. I have one that was won on ebay for 99p and kindly donated to me as they couldnt pick it up

A ABBA stand can be had for about £80, granted it doesnt really raise the bike up but it'll be the best bit of kit your ever buy

ABBA stands are a piece of piss to use. I looked at getting that lift that attaches to it at a bike show the other year, it works really well but it was pricey from what i remember

ABBA stands work just like centre stands used to. It uses the swingarm pivot to attach itself to the frame and all you have to do is sort of roll the bike forward and it hoists the rear wheel up. It's got a long telescopic arm so it's easy to get lots of leverage. I'm only 65kg and I can do it on my own with no problems. It's a great bit of kit.
