All depends on who is doing it? You can save a few quid if you prep it yourself?

It's a lot of work stripping the paint off,and you won't get all the paint off so they will have to blast them anyway, just De-gease them and wash them down.

you'll need to remove the bearings from the wheel, as when they go in the oven the grease will melt and run onto the wheel, they will most likley use silicon plugs for the disc threads , just be sure to mention the threads before he coats them , i expect they will know wot to do anyway, but nowadays if you dont ask you dont get , try get him to mask off where the disc sits otherwise you will have to carfully remove the coat , you need to get them to mask off the inside of the rear wheel where it sits on the axle (basically anything that is bare metal before coatin should be bare metal after coating )

When you do get them back from the powdercoaters, check that there isn't any that has made it's way into threads, if it has tap it out with a thread tap first.

That shit is so hard you'll thread your bolts.

Would it be better to have them painted rather than powdered?
