Just a quick question:

I have just removed my flywheel, stator and reg/rec. Do I need to alter the wiring in any shape or form or just tie the connectors up to protect them from the elements?

Yep, that's what I thought!

My main fuse decided to blow today which is what prompted the initial question as the bike wouldn't start, but it was just coincidence!

This answers one of my questions so thanks. The other is do you need the voltage regulator? I havnt studied the wiring diagram yet but if its job is to supply a steady and limited voltage to the battery from the alternator then this need goes once you run total loss.
